Hello Friends,

The General Assembly will convene January 4th at 12:00 in Frankfort . In the House, all members will be given the oath of office as the first order of business.

Following the swearing-in, introductions will be made and then we will adjourn to a reception on the landing by the steps to the House Chamber.

Each of you is welcome to come and join in the experience. Gallery passes for the swearing-in are extremely limited, but I am told that the day is meant all citizens who wish to be present, and monitors may be set up outside the chamber. I know those who plan to arrive at the capitol building at 11:30, and stay until perhaps 2:00. I will be happy to show you around, however my own office will not be assigned until a day or two into the session.

It is a Tuesday in the middle of a work week, and so I know it will be difficult or impossible for you to come. But if you can, we would love to see you in Frankfort on that day. You have done much to help ensure my election, and I hope that you can celebrate with my family and me - in Frankfort or at your home, or your place of work.

Thank you for being a part of this.

Best Regards,

Dave
